Cold Email Infrastructure Cost in 2026: What You Actually Pay
Mailboxes, domains, IPs, warmup and the fees nobody lists. A line-by-line cold email infrastructure budget for 2026, with provider prices at 100 mailboxes.
The price on a pricing page is rarely the price on the invoice. Here is every line item in a cold email setup, what each provider charges for it, and the fees that only show up after you sign.
The five line items
Every cold email setup pays for the same five things, whether they are bundled or billed separately.
- Mailboxes. Usually priced per mailbox or per slot, from under $1 to $8.40 a month.
- Domains. $8 to $15 a year each, and you need one for every three mailboxes or so.
- Sending IPs. Free on a shared pool, $50 to $249 a month when dedicated, unless the provider includes it.
- Warmup and monitoring. Included by some, a separate subscription at others.
- A sequencer. The tool that actually sends your campaigns.
What 100 mailboxes cost, by provider

| InfraOptimal, dedicated IP included | $180 |
| Maildoso, rotating shared pool (300 plan) | $225 |
| Mailpool, shared SMTP | $250 |
| Mailforge, shared pool | $300 |
| Mailreef, one server plus send fees | about $339 |
| Scaledmail, Google mailboxes | $350 |
| Infraforge, slots plus one dedicated IP | $499 |
| Google Workspace direct, flexible plan | $840 |
The fees that are not on the headline
Dedicated IP add-ons
Infraforge charges $99 a month per IP, and a Mailpool dedicated server starts at $200. If isolation is the reason you are buying, price it in. InfraOptimal includes your first dedicated IP in the mailbox price.
Per-send fees
Mailreef adds $0.001 per email to its $249 server. At 100 mailboxes sending 30 a day, that is about $90 a month on top.
Unused capacity
Slot and server models charge for capacity, not live mailboxes. That is useful when you rotate mailboxes, and wasteful when you buy a 300-box plan to run 100.
Send caps
A mailbox capped at 15 emails a day needs twice as many boxes and domains as one sending 30. Cheap per mailbox can be expensive per email.
Add-ons for reporting and warmup
Scaledmail reporting is about $2 per mailbox a month. Warmup is a separate product at several providers. Both are included with InfraOptimal inside MailOptimal.
A worked budget: 1,000 emails a day
At 30 sends per mailbox you need 34 mailboxes. At three per domain that is 12 domains.
| InfraOptimal, monthly billing | Per month |
| 34 mailboxes at $1.90 | $65 |
| 12 domains at $8 a year | $8 |
| Dedicated IP | Included |
| Warmup and monitoring | Included |
| Total | $73 |

How to keep the bill honest
- Price per email sent, not per mailbox.
- Add the IP, reporting and warmup before you compare.
- Check what monthly billing costs, not just the annual rate.
- Keep a 20% buffer of mailboxes warming for rotation.
FAQ
How much does cold email infrastructure cost per month?
For 1,000 emails a day, expect roughly $70 to $300 a month for mailboxes and domains, depending on provider and IP type, before your sequencer.
Is a dedicated IP worth the cost?
When the provider charges $99 or more per IP, it depends on volume. When the IP is included, as on InfraOptimal, there is little reason to share one.
Are domains included?
Rarely on monthly plans. Budget $8 to $15 per domain a year, one domain for every three mailboxes.
